Local indie-rockers The Trillions have been making a name for themselves around town lately, and with the release of their first full-length album, Tritones, on Worthless Junk Records, they're ready to take over RVA once and for all. They began their attempt to take things to the next level at Gallery 5 on Saturday April 14, with a live performance that did not double but triple duty. Not only did it celebrate the release of Tritones, as well as that of opening act Kid Is Qual's new EP, Ladies Choice, the evening also marked the seventh anniversary of Gallery 5! All of the bands and spectators in attendance did their best to present a party worthy of such a monumental occasion, and our trusty photographer/videographer Todd Raviotta was in attendance to capture the audio-visual evidence for everyone who spent the evening at Stay Sweet Fest II, the Chili Cookoff, or any of the many other events happening around town that evening, and didn't manage to make it out.
