Anytime Noah Scalin's mysterious group of intergalactic rangers, The League Of Space Pirates, perform live, it's a full-on multimedia extravaganza, and their upcoming appearance this Saturday at Gallery 5, an evening known as the Cabinet Of Cosmic Curiosities, won't be an exception. Their futuristic digital rock n' roll is the star of the show, but as far as what you'll see if you come out to Gallery 5 this Saturday night, it's just the tip of the iceberg.
The Lady Aye, NYC's Sweetheart Of The Sideshow, will also be performing, and with talents ranging from fire eating to sword swallowing and a host of other death-defying freakshow tricks, you can be sure you'll see something unforgettable during her set. You can also expect to enjoy a musical performance from The Madness Of Two, Jebidiah Stone's levitation skills, the amazing dance sensation Khalima, and a great DJ mix from Mikemetic! And there's even more than that to look forward to--specifically, body painting by Sheila Gray, and an Intergalactic Photo Booth set up to document your experience. Best of all, if you come dressed as a pirate, you'll save $5 off the cover charge! This event should be an out-of-this-world good time, so we expect to see you there!

Here are a couple of videos to get you hyped. First, we have League Of Space Pirates' video for their song "Constant Reminder," from their 2010 EP, Hypertrophy. Then we have a clip from Lady Aye's 2010 appearance on Discovery Channel TV show Oddities, in which she performs a sword-swallowing in front of the fascinated and appalled store owner. And if that doesn't make you want to come see this show on Saturday, I don't know what will.
