The Honorable Sleaze - Pray 4 Me
Local emcee The Honorable Sleaze brings us the second video from his most recent album, Heavenly/Devilish. This video, which was shot by Local emcee/videographer BC Music 1st, defines the pure essence of Sleaze. You can definetly tell that Sleaze wrote this track straight from the heart just from lines like, “And writing this is hard, cause I don’t wanna open up--trying hold my thoughts in like smoke that I'm toking up.” Real lyrics are definitely something you can expect from this artist, because Sleaze always brings profound and prolific rhymes. Memph 10 - I Am On My Grind
Local emcee/promoter Memph 10 aka Bloc Hog drops a certified classic with his cover of rapper Future's “Same Damn Time,” entitled “I Am On My Grind.” Memph 10, who has traveled to Washington DC, Tennessee, Baltimore, and other places for this video, proves that he’s taking his movement out of the city and bringing it back to RVA. He also hosts a showcase and owns his own company, Bloc Hog ENT. One thing I have always liked about Memph 10 is the one thing that we need in Richmond--support. He works with many local artists like OMG Ent and BOCM, just to name a few. Throughout this song, he shouts, “I am on my grind,” and from the looks of the video, he’s about it. Keep an eye out for Memph 10.
JFK x Badio - A F-ckin Mazin
This video comes from two Northern Virginia emcee’s known as JFK (Jay Fresh Kicks) and Badio. JFK has been doing music since he was 9, and also produced this single. Badio has quite a track record, and performed at the 2012 Epic Fest recently. They bring us this party banger, straight from NOVA to the RVA. Autotune was used in this song as well, but the chorus is very catchy. I would like to hear this song at a crowded club night, or with a room full of drunk college girls.
