Shawn J. Miller (16 x 48 on canvas)
Tomorrow night, Margarita's Cantina (107 North 18th Street) will host The Cutis Cornell Memorial Fundraiser, to benefit the Cornell family after the tragic loss of their father and husband. Curtis was a fellow Richmond resident whose individual contributions most likely resonated long enough to touch each and every one of our lives in one way or another. Curtis' family is currently suffering through a very difficult emotional and financial period, and so the fine employees at Margarita's Cantina have come together to selflessly help their fellow Richmonders, with medical bills and funeral expenses associated with loosing someone close to them, via a silent art auction and raffel that will be taking place tomorrow.
Charles Berger (Ink/Marker - Framed)
This event should hit close to home for all of us that worry about the financial burdon attached to loosing a close relative. But even if it does not, many businesses have contributed giftcards (The Camel, Margarita's, On The Rox, etc.) and prizes to be raffled off, in hopes of raising funds to help out with the Cornell families expenses. A very special silent auction will also be taking place during the event, and some great original work will be up for grabs, from some excellent local artists such as: Shawn J. Miller (shawnjmillerphotography.com), Charles Berger (from Heroes and Ghosts Tattoo Shop), Chris Visions (Local Illustrator), and many more... Also up for auction will be this lovely Amstel Light beach cruiser, and a $200 Gift Certificate to 212 Tattoo.
Hit up the event page (HERE) for more information, and come hang out, anytime from 12pm - 2am, buy some raffel tickets, bid on some lovely art, and just have an all around great time celebrating the life of Curtis Cornell and his family.
