Here's something interesting that we were sent recently; it seems that Sigur Ros are running a competition in which filmmakers are invited to direct an original video for one of the songs on Sigur Ros's latest album, Valtari. The winner will be selected through an online voting campaign, which is happening now and ends September 18. VCU Film graduate Mairin Hart has made a video for the Sigur Ros song "Ég Anda" and entered it into the competition, and we're pleased to have the opportunity to bring you that video now. Hart not only directed but stars in the video, the plot of which is described as follows: "A woman is left by her lover, and she is born again into her next life. When she begins to be reacquainted with her new world, a suitcase from her prior life washes ashore. Inside the suitcase is a love memento from her former existence. The woman decides to search for her lost love, battling against mother nature and the fear of what she may find in the end."
