Halloween is just around the corner, and the spooky environment of this holiday has long been an inspiration for horror film fans to watch all their old favorites and creep themselves out all over again. However, for the Richmond Comedy Coaltion, the Halloween tradition of focusing on the history of horror cinema is an opportunity to inspire not terror but laughter. In SLASHER, their Improv Comedy Horror Show, taking place at Kingdom on Thursday, October 25, they'll pay homage to classic horror flicks by creating their own improvised, unscripted horror show right before your very eyes. SLASHER will combine all of the elements that made the great horror films of the 70s and 80s such classics--from over-the-top gore to the campiness inherent in their stilted scripts, the RCC will put it all on display and give it a new lease on life. Complete with a live soundtrack created by musician Kevin Lamb, this will be a hilarious evening that you won't forget! And be sure to show up in costume so that you can compete in the RCC's third annual costume contest; prizes include a pack of tickets to a future RCC show, as well as the chance to be a guest on an upcoming edition of RCC's Richmond Famous. This show will be unlike any you've ever been to--so don't miss it!
