Here are some brand new videos from the local RVA hip-hop scene, with commentary from Roger Tyler, aka RT of The New Juice Crew. You can check out his work HERE, or catch him on WDCE 90.1 FM, Mondays At 11pm-1am, or WRIR 97.3 FM, 1am to 3 am on Saturday, along with Black Liquid and plenty of other local MCs.

James Dangle - Problems

This video coming from local emcee James Dangle is a video we can all relate to: “Problems.” This track is on his album One Time I Knew. Shot by BC Music 1st, this video portrays the different situations in which problems overcome you. He deals with situations involved with a relationship, having to travel without transportation, and even doing a show and losing crowd participation. This is a excellent video and you even get a peep at a snippet of new music that Dangle and local producer Obliv are cooking up for the near future. Check him and his album out at justplainsounds.com.

Prez - Free Me

If you want to see a positive video with a positive message peep local emcee Prez’s video “Free Me.” This song features harmonic vocals from singer Naomi, and talks about freeing yourself and your mind. He explains how you shouldn’t be afraid of yourself or your pain and the way these things were a challenge for him in his life. This video, shot by Cutting Edge Digital TV (CEDTV), shows amazing green screen visuals and great landmarks. I think I even saw the James River. Peep this and his newest mixtape The End Of Privacy.

Knox Hill - The Departed

My sources at rvamag.com shot me in the direction of an emcee from the DMV known as Knox Hill. He is ½ of the group The Lost Cause from his area, and I can say I like his delivery and presence. This video, which was just a run through of the potential I see and have seen from Knox, shows another reason for RVA to branch out and market themselves around surrounding counties. This video was shot by Knox's friend Corey Holland, and in my opinion, he should start doing this proffesionally. You can catch Knox Hill and his album The 92 Dream on Datpiff HERE.
