Initially formed in 2004 as a side project of Disco Biscuits by that band's keyboardist, Aron Magner, and bassist, Marc Brownstein, Conspirator have grown into a full-blown touring group that allows Magner and Brownstein to explore "their electronic mad scientist personae."Along with talented lead guitarist Chris Michetti of jam-rock quartet RAQ and drummer KJ Swaka of dubstep supergroup Destroid (whose membership also includes Excision and Downlink), the creative geniuses behind Conspirator have come together to explore the new frontier opening up where the rhythmic pulse of EDM and the improvised grooves of the psychedelic rock and jam-band scenes have begun to intermingle. The unique results of their explorations are highlighted on their latest album, Unlocked: Live From The Georgia Theatre, which was recorded live last fall in Athens, GA, and released earlier this year by SCI Fidelity Records. They'll also be on display at The National on Friday, November 23. So don't let the Thanksgiving holiday lull you into a three-day food coma--come out to The National and dance the night away with Conspirator!

Before we leave you to your evening's activities, we want to give you a little taste of what Conspirator will have in store for you next Friday at The National. This high-quality video was shot by Nocoast TV at the Fox Theatre in Boulder, Colorado back in February of 2012; as snow drifted down to the ground outside, Conspirator raised the temperature inside the venue with this amazing nearly 20-minute version of "Velvet Red." Enjoy!
