Electronic music fans, listen up! Thievery Corporation, that legendary DJ duo from Washington DC, is taking over the 9:30 Club, located in their hometown of the nation's capital, for three straight days later this month, and you have an opportunity to make the scene for free! The first two dates are already sold out, but there are tickets still available for the final date--Saturday, January 19, 2013. On that day, Rob Garza and Eric Hilton will be setting off the party with their legendary mixture of wide-ranging genres from all over the world into a unique musical melange that features elements of everything from dub reggae and Brazilian bossa nova to jazz and classical elements. They'll have their usual assortment of musical guests on hand, and will be bringing the carnival atmosphere that Thievery Corporation shows have been known for since their foundation in the mid-90s. I ask you--how can you possibly stand to miss this?
