As a front-runner of beat culture and 20+ years of experience in the EDM scene, Russia’s DJ Vadim is known for taking electronic hip hop to inspiring new heights. After touring Europe into the New Year, then pausing for a short break in Poland, DJ Vadim brings his internationally recognized sound to RVA - January 30th, at the Camel.
This award winning DJ/producer prevails with exploration; hot and heavy tinges of reggae, trip hop, soul, dub, bass, house and boogie trigger an eclectic musical journey through time and space. In addition to performing over 2500 times in sixty-nine countries, Vadim's impressive resume consists of six solo albums, one remix record, five group projects, and numerous individual remixes for notable artists scattered across the globe.
Don’t Be Scared, the latest album from Vadim is all about transformation, taking the know-how of the past and evolving it into the soundstage of the future. The instrumental driven venture laces in vocals from frequent collaborator Yarah Bravo and adds freshness with up and coming singers creating an exotically moody vibration. Interestingly, dance move discussions from Jamie Fox are incorporated in the project too.
DJ Marley Carroll will activate the much anticipated evening as opener. The multi-instrumentalist and producer draws inspiration for his sets from several perspectives. Expect to hear a fusion of impassioned dance music, some experimental IDM, a little bit of house, and the scratch that has brought him recognition.
A night of dancing and experimental encounters riding a transatlantic wave.
