I met Michael Brown at the Richmond Tattoo Convention a few months back and really liked his artwork--so much that I bought 2 prints right there and promised I would write about him on the site.
Michael is originally from The Plains, a tiny town just off 66 in northern Virginia that is far enough west that it hasn't been swallowed up by the NoVa suburbs... yet. After a few minutes of conversation, I found that he had a deep history with Richmond, having been part of the GWAR movement in the 80s and early 90s. He knew all the right people making art in that era, and now he is working his wife Lizzy Fink (a really good artist in her own right) to keep UC Studios going.
I wanted to introduce you guys to his work. If you feel so inclined, check out their Etsy and support his endeveors HERE.
