It's that time of year again. RVA restaurants gather together to raise funds for a good cause (and buzz about themselves) and give you a chance to try some amazing local food. Richmond Restaurant Week gives local restaurants a chance to flex their culinary muscles, and give back to the community, two things Richmonders love to take part in. Over 40 restaurants are participating in the twice a year event (spring and fall) that started 11 years ago. Modeled after restaurant weeks in NYC, Acacia’s Aline Reitzer came up with the idea and it has flourished ever since. To date, the event has raised over $130,000 for the Richmond area Food Bank and Meals on Wheels.

Here are some do's and don'ts from the Richmond Restaurant Week Website:

1 - Some restaurants are taking reservations, some are not. It doesn't hurt to call ahead and see what is available!

2 - All meals are 3-course, with a set price of $25.13 per person. Drinks and booze are extra. ($2.13 from each meals go to charity)

3 - Try something you've never had before! RRW is a great chance to go someplace you may never have thought of before - there is a massive list of the restaurants that are participating below - click on the logo to be taken to the restaurant's website.

4 - There is no pass, coupon, or bracelet required - just go to one of the places listed below. BUT RESERVATIONS ARE RECOMMENDED WHEN POSSIBLE!

Take a look at the list below, give the restaurant a call and see what they are offering and if they take reservations - SEATS FILL UP FAST!
