Evidently, there is the world's greatest children choir and they go around covering a mess of modern songs... here's "Untrust us" by Crystal Castles - set ears to stun.
Let me introduce ya'll to the Capital Children's Choir. The UK based group of kids has a decent summary via their "About us"page:
The Capital Children’s Choir began in 2001 when a small group of 10-year-old girls asked Rachel to start a singing club in St. John’s Wood, London. Over the years, the little group continued to grow and currently involves well over one hundred children from around the capital.
The Capital Children’s Choir is in constant demand and performs regularly for a wide variety of events: from historical occasions at the Vatican to singing alongside the Spice Girls at 18 arena shows. As well as performing classical repertoire, the choir is well-known for its choral and orchestral reinterpretations of famous pop songs and their videos have received well over two million views to date within the popular video-sharing site YouTube.
Turns out they do some other amazing songs, such as Bjork's "Who is it"
And, because they're British, they cover "So Long You Pretty Thing" by 90's Brit-space-pop band Spiritualized.
Looks like they even sang live at the Reading Festival in 2008 - here's a slide show set to their cover of Anti-Flag's "Good and Ready."
Neat stuff, right? Follow them on Twitter and Like 'em on Facebookunless you hate kids.
