Chromeo is hard to describe. Take your favorite Hall & Oates song, adding a 2011 talkbox vocal hook and some up-to-date synthesizer sounds, and you might come close. This is probably the only band that could play a joint show with Daryl Hall (of Hall & Oates) and actually CONTRIBUTE to the sound (at Bonnaroo 2010). The modern funk duo, which consists of P-Thugg and Dave1 (brother of world champion turntablist, A-Trak), have been touring nonstop since the release of their highly acclaimed album Fancy Footwork in 2007. With the release of their latest effort, Hot Mess, they blew everyone out of the water with the kind of successful follow-up many artists can only dream of. Only a few days after announcing their tour, their show at the 930 Club in DC sold out in record time. But Chromeo were able to find it in their hearts to play second show for you lovely folks, and tickets for the second show are available here. So don’t sleep on this!
