Lubec - "Cherry Adair" from The Acme Thunderer on Vimeo.
Local indie rockers Lubec have just released a video for their song "Cherry Adair," the first video from their EP Nothing Is Enough (on The Acme Thunderer; also available from Lubec's Bandcamp page).
The video was made by a group of local filmmakers, including director Daniel John Lerch, who are interested in making more music videos for local artists. This video features some great true-to-life scenes of Richmond-style partying mixed in with band performance footage. Lubec's lo-fi, shoegaze-style melodic indie sound is used to excellent effect on this song, and you can check it out in full at two upcoming shows they'll be playing. The first, with Joan of Arc, Pillars And Tongues, and Antlers, is at Strange Matter on Sunday, January 23 at 6 PM. Then, on the following night, Monday January 24, they'll be playing with The Capstan Shafts, White Laces, and Ghost Lotion at Gallery 5. Both of these shows should be excellent, so it'd be worth your while to come out.
