Beirut are currently on a world tour in support of their third album, The Rip Tide, which was released two months ago. Now, as part of that tour, they'll be bringing their traveling show to Richmond's very own National tomorrow night. Beirut's mixture of Eastern European folk sounds and indie singer-songwriter ballads has attracted a large, diverse fanbase over the past five years, and bandleader Zach Condon has only increased his reach with their latest album, and best so far. Their epic travelogues will fill the room at the National tomorrow night, and create an intimate, Old World feel that should make the entire evening seem more like a comfortable night out at a neighborhood pub. This will be a special event that you won't want to miss, so check it out!

WHAT: The Rip Tide Tour Comes To The National!
WHO: Beirut with special guest Basia Bulat
WHERE: The National, 708 E. Broad St.
WHEN: Tuesday, October 25, 7 PM
ADMISSION: $22.50, available at The National Box Office, or by clicking HERE

For a preview of this event, check out Beirut performing "East Harlem," the first single from The Rip Tide, on David Letterman earlier this month after the jump. Or tune in to Late Night With Jimmy Fallon tonight, where they'll be giving another televised live performance, perhaps of the same song, or maybe of a different one! Only one way to find out, right?

As a special bonus for those of you who bother to click the "Read More" link, we've also got a video of opening act Basia Bulat doing her song "Before I Knew," which was apparently in a Subaru commercial a couple of years ago. I wouldn't know, I got a DVR just so I could fast-forward through commercials. But anyway, it's a pretty cool song, so it seems like it'd be a good idea to get to the show early so you can check out Basia Bulat as well. See you there!
