Here's a brand new video by local noise merchants Mutwawa, for the title track from their second cassette release, Mayan Mutations. Mutwawa, a duo consisting of Jason Hodges (Suppression/Bermuda Triangles) and Gary Stevens (Head Molt), have been spreading their psychedelic soundscapes around Richmond for a while now, and we've told you a bit about them before (word to the wise: the download link in that article is still active. Hit it up). But if you still need convincing, then check out this crazy video, which was put together for Mutwawa by local artist Joe Legzz. Joe's usual work is a serious headfuck, and he combines the dayglo colors and strobing visual overloads of his other videos with occult/conspiracy theory imagery and some heavily treated video footage of Mutwawa performing to accurately capture the mood that this song evokes during its three-minute running time. Bright, overwhelming imagery is a common theme in all of Joe Legzz's work, in fact, as becomes obvious when you watch some of the videos he's made that are entirely his own work. To demonstrate, we've got two more Joe Legzz videos after the jump, both of which were uploaded to the internet within the past month. You probably shouldn't watch either of them late at night when you're alone in the house. Don't say we didn't warn you.
