Happy Holidays to everyone on the dance floors this past year. EDM has flourished in 2011 like no year before, and dubstep has captivated mainstream audiences across the US. I think the beautiful thing about our “genre" (for lack of a better term) is that there is no other live sensation like it. An unparalleled experience: brilliant masses of distinctly unique individuals, casting aside every bit of stress in the world, to join in improvised dance. Everyone I’ve encountered across the live scene over the past year has impacted me in some way, and for that I am forever thankful. Anxiously awaiting similar times in the approaching new year.

Now getting to what most of you are probably reading this for. Biggest News? We potentially dropped a leak for the Ultra Music Festival Lineup. Ultra, which is considered to be the premier EDM event in the states, has not released an official list of performers yet. A tentative look at the list reveals Daft Punk, David Guetta, Deadmau5, Justice, Tiesto, Swedish House Mafia, Armin van Buuren, Afrojack, Avicii, Pretty Lights, Steve Aoki, Dada Life, Porter Robinson and Zedd. If this proves true, expect this to remain as the most anticipated festival of the upcoming year. Apparently, SHM has beef with UMF dating to last year's show and has vowed never to return. We will see if money talks soon enough. Also check out Sensation America 2012 and Electro Beach Puerto Vallarta, if you are a festie.

We featured a new track preview called "Swinged" from Deadmau5 this week, which was big because the mau5 has been quiet lately. Besides his announced residency in Vegas, we haven’t seen much other than slow production. Skrillex finally dropped the album, Voltage, that everyone has been foaming at the mouth for. I’ve found the download and let me tell you, it’s making people WANT to get stuck in traffic. We will have it for you on the site this week.

This week’s 5 HOT DROPS:
Mord Fustang - “We Are Now Connected”
Figure - “Must Destroy”
Swedish House Mafia & Knife Party - “Antidote”
Madeon -”Icarus”
Nicky Romero - “Toulouse”

Christmas Rager Mashup:
Kap Slap - “Resurrect Paradise”

Featured Interview:
“Im A Big Room Kind Of Guy” with college mashup phenom “3LAU”
