There's no doubt the electronic music scene in Richmond needs to be cultivated, perhaps babied in a way. For a city so dominant on artistic culture, Richmond seems to be reluctant to sell out small venues with big EDM names, such as Steve Aoki and Zed’s Dead. What needs to be done? Intimate local events like the College Invasion Tour are crucial to developing the culture of electronic music, because local support is a direct reflection of the strength of a niche community. Prepare for a heart pumping rave atmosphere full of energy, live acts, sexy dancers, lights, and epic bass drops. Glow sticks and any glow apparel is highly encouraged.
