Richmond stoner metal group RPG has been working for quite a while on their soon-to-be-released new LP, High Loathsome, and now the end of their quest is in sight. They've been collecting funds to pay for the pressing of the 180 gram vinyl release on Kickstarter, and with 9 days to go, their goal of $1000 has been met more than three times over. And yet, the band members are in debt for a far greater amount of money, and would really like to be able to pay that debt back and break even on their new LP. That's where you come in. If you want to get yourself a copy of the new RPG record (and based on the snatches of music from the LP that we've heard, trust us, you do), there's still time to make a Kickstarter contribution and reserve your very own copy of High Loathsome. Donations of $10 or more receive a digital download of the album, and any donation of $50 or more gets you a test press of the vinyl. If you give $75 or more, you get a full-scale completed version of the 180 gram vinyl LP. Other amounts can get you t-shirts, an acknowledgement in the album's glow in the dark silkscreened thanks list, and even, for the truly high roller, one of a kind lacquer proofs of the album supplied by the pressing plant as a test of the album's fidelity.
But I know what you're thinking--what about the music? Well, wonder no more, because we've got the album trailer, from RPG's Kickstarter page, right here:
