At the cusp of the New Year, one thing was certain--critics and fans alike were prepared to declare Dead Fame as one of the new Richmond bands to watch. With tunes like “Turning” and “We Can Run,” it’s easy to see why this type of excitement began to grow immediately. On Saturday, they will be celebrating the release of their debut release, the extended-player entitled Frontiers. Even though it has been floating around as a digital release for a second, the release party at Balliceaux will commemorate its physical release that can be acquired that very night. To make this night even more special, Michael Albrecht and Alan Smith of Beard, a new alternative queer dance party collective, will be spinning records throughout the evening. Come watch Dead Fame do what they do best, as they let the music do the talking and let the light show guide the dancing.
