Here's a fascinating short documentary film produced by illustrious local videographer Kontra, in which he gives us all a detailed look at Interstitial Transduction, a project created for InLight Richmond 2012 by local musicians Nelly Kate and Dave Watkins. The project was the winner of the people's choice award for this year's InLight exhibition, and allows people to generate light and sound by touching various hanging objects connected to the basic sculpture. Explanation doesn't really do it justice, though--you have to see it in action, and Kontra's given us a glimpse of the way it works in a crowd of people, as well as some of the behind-the-scenes effort that went into putting the whole thing together. Check it out!
