Adam Juresko is based in Philadelphia these days, but he was an RVA artist (and musician) for a long time, so it's good to see him returning to his former hometown for an exhibition of new works that opens this Friday at Gallery 5. Self-Abuse is a collection of new and recent works that mixes Adam's original movie poster designs with more conventional works of paper collage and acrylic paint on canvas. Here's a preview:

Self Abuse will open with a reception from 6:30-11 PM on First Friday, December 7. The event will feature music from Mark Eitzel, The Low Branches, Modern Drugs, and Josh Small. The exhibits will remain on display throughout the month of December at Gallery 5, located at 200 W. Marshall St.
