Hot or cold, rain or shine, RVA's always got a lot going on. Regardless of the weather, these are some shows you aren't going to want to miss this weekend!

Friday, 2/22: The DeMarcos, Reclamation Red & The Privies @ McCormack's Irish Pub

For some good old fashioned punk rock fun, head on down to McCormack's Irish Pub to see local feel-good punk bands Reclamation Red and The Privies, along with The DiMarcos from Asheville, NC. The facebook page says that the bands may or may not be giving a lecture on Southeast Asian macroeconomics, which I'm pretty sure is a joke, but hey, if not, that would be entertaining too. Whatever the case, don't miss out on some laid back punk rock.

Friday, 2/22: Richmond Famous featuring Patience Salgado @ Gallery 5

The Richmond Comedy Coalition puts on Richmond Famous every month at Gallery 5, a live improv comedy show about and inspired by some of the most well known people in Richmond. This month they are getting Patience Salgado to make a special appearance; she is a kindness worker and birth photographer. While this may sound a bit nauseatingly lovey, it will no doubt be spun by the art of comedy, and may be just the thing you need to improve your outlook on a cold February night.

Saturday, 2/23: Fuck The Facts, Pallbearer, Cough & Street Pizza @ Strange Matter

This Saturday, amazing female-fronted French Canadian grinders Fuck the Facts will be playing at Strange Matter with Arkansas dirge-metallers Pallbearer and awesome locals Cough and Street Pizza. Fuck The Facts play a very unique blend of doomy grind, Cough are an awesome local drone-metal band who are releasing a split with Windhand on Relapse, and the other two bands are great, too. If you love heavy, sludgy music, this is not one to miss out on.

Saturday, 2/23: Body Talk with guest DJ Andrew Morgan @ Balliceaux

The week's Body Talk at Balliceaux, which always features boogie, funk, soul, and electro, is also going to feature DJ Andrew Morgan from PPU Records in DC. PPU are celebrating the release of their collaborative reissue, along with Steady Sounds, of The Trash Company's The Earle Hotel Tapes. Expect this and other undiscovered soul treasures to be on the playlist for the evening. Come out and dance your cares away.

Saturday, 2/23: The Richmond Burlesque Revue @ Gallery 5

Check out some of the RVA's best burlesquers at The Richmond Burlesque Revue at Gallery 5 this Saturday. All the local favorites will be there, so this is a great place to start if you are trying to get into the burlesque scene as a spectator or a performer. And even if you just have a casual interest, there's nothing like a Burlesque show on a Saturday night!
